According to a recent poll conducted by Container xChange, a marketplace and technology infrastructure provider for container logistics companies, it shows that the majority of freight forwarders, traders, and NVOCCs struggle to monitor container movements.

59% of freight forwarders, traders, and NVOCCs find it difficult to keep a track of pick-up and drop-off of containers, their location, and the timestamp of their pick-up and drop-off.

Half of the companies claimed that on an average manual processes to execute their container operations take up from 50 to 100% of their weekly workload.

Further, the need for automation is at an all-time high with 50% of companies seeking to digitize monitoring of their container pick-ups and drop-offs.

Simplifying Container Operations with Container Control

Dr. Johannes Schlingmeier, Co-Founder and CEO, of Container xChange said: “It is an opportune time for logistics companies to realize the need for digital adoption for tackling future uncertainties.

“From the moment the container is manufactured, to its last journey, we want every process to be automated, and all companies involved to be connected through technology.

"The idea is to provide transparency into container movements and ease container operations for freight forwarders and NVOCCs.

"Container xChange has introduced Container Control, a platform that provides a clear overview of all the containers you are moving and allows you to monitor their journey in near real-time.

As the container logistic industry still grapples with unprecedented operational challenges, the most important step is to create an end-to-end, sophisticated digital solution that can bring all capabilities on a single platform, from monitoring container movements, and digitizing container operations to eliminating repetitive manual processes.

Benny Huygen, Commodities Business Development Manager, Kuehne + Nagel Belgium said: ‘We are happy to see how Container xChange has made our job easier.

"It’s a crucial part of my role to have an overview of the available containers, quickly match them to container bookings, and be on top of container movements from pick-up to drop-off.

"With Container Control I will be able to do it all faster and have more time to deliver an amazing customer experience."
