A property near Hwy. 9 and Airport Rd. had roughly $20,000 worth of equipment stolen from a shipping container last month.

The property owner is offering a $5,000 reward to anyone with information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for the theft.

The burglary is suspected to have taken place on or shortly before Aug. 26 of this year.

The thieves entered the property from Airport Rd. by truck or van, removing the heavy chain and locked padlock that keeps the property’s gate closed.

The shipping container on the property was then broken into, and the thieves took a Pelican brand paddle boat that’s monaco blue and white, a new Champion 4500-watt inverter generator (Model 201053) that’s never been taken out of the box, and motor boat maintenance related parts.

Assorted water skis and equipment including a Goode brand slalom water ski that’s a nano twist model at 66.5 inches was taken as well.

A 10×10 collapsible branded black tent with KRV Collective logo was also stolen and a Frontier brand canoe (dark grey on side, light grey on bottom) was stolen separately in late May.

Anyone hoping to secure the $5,000 reward with proper information on the burglary that leads to an arrest and conviction can contact the Dufferin OPP by email at Luke.dent@on.ca.
